早晨好。非常高興與大家共聚一堂。在這里舉行的微軟中國第一屆專業(yè)開發(fā)人員大會，是微軟公司的一個重要里程碑。我們與全球軟件開發(fā)人員建立的伙伴關系不僅是促成了Windows成功的關鍵，而且使PC技術提供的可能性成為現(xiàn)實。應用程序貫穿各個領域，公司將使用個人計算機作為信息時代的工具。

這一變革的速度之快，令人眼花繚亂。即使象我這樣深入?yún)⑴c其中的人員，看到在一年基礎上發(fā)生的如此巨大的進步預測一年后所發(fā)生的變化也是異想天開。當然，處理器性能的巨大提高是這一商務領域的一個推動因素。毫無疑問，芯片通過微處理器的進步所提供的強大功能允許我們考慮過去根本沒有可能的應用程序。

PC行業(yè)是能夠提供價格更低的設備并同時改進功能性的少數(shù)幾個行業(yè)之一。存儲系統(tǒng)提供lGB存儲的標準功能。全球每年售出8000多萬臺PC。在服務器市場中，令這些PC聯(lián)網(wǎng)的性能更高的機器是發(fā)展最快的部分。這些服務器的性能不斷提高，不僅是因為單一處理器速度更快，還因為我們使用多處理器機器，也就是被稱為SMP設計并實現(xiàn)節(jié)點的集群化。……

優(yōu)異的芯片、系世界秘書網(wǎng)版權所有統(tǒng)開發(fā)商以及資助這一活動的合作伙伴將使所有這些成為可能。這是開發(fā)人員的一次極好機會。今天編寫的應用程序將在市場上銷售更多數(shù)量的機器。我們正在做許多工作來增加好的開發(fā)人員的工作，確保他們理解PC的走向、目前工具如何為他們提供幫助以及可使他們贏得客戶的越來越多的促銷活動類型。這就是我們年復一年所增加的東西。

整個DNS信息的目的就是通過結合不同的體系結構、實現(xiàn)任務自動化以及允許以一種發(fā)展的方式完成這一工作，幫助開發(fā)人員抓住機會。我認為，這是一個開發(fā)人員的時代，感謝您的光臨并希望有機會與您進行更多的合作。
