【論文摘要】數字時代使新聞攝影產生了飛躍，同時也帶來了一些隱患。如何消除隱患、應對隱患，數字時代給新聞攝影帶來了哪些新的要求？文章作了如下闡述。
1.數字技術給新聞攝影帶來的隱患
科學是把雙刃劍。有人曾預言，數字技術的運用將會葬送新聞
攝影。這話雖嫌偏激，但有一定道理。
數字時代使新聞照片的真實性受到了空前的挑戰。過去，傳統攝影也可把攝影特技運用到新聞攝影中而造成新聞照片失真，但其操作方法復雜，需要具有專業水平的人才能完成，且經過處理后的照片效果差，加工痕跡明顯。而當今的電腦技術不僅能夠對照片進行改頭換面，甚至可以無中生有，使用PhotoShop這種功能強大的圖像編輯軟件，在一臺普通的電腦上就可以隨心所欲地將新聞照片修改得面目全非且天衣無縫。
真實性是新聞攝影的基本屬性，也是新聞攝影的生命。攝影記者只有選擇拍攝角度的權利，沒有變動新聞真實的權利。
2003年海灣戰爭期間，有著25年從業經歷的《洛杉磯時報》攝影記者布賴恩.瓦爾斯基與3月30日向報社傳回一張英軍士兵和伊拉克平民的照片，該照片令圖片編輯激動不已，因為畫面要素和構圖等顯示是一幅足以競爭普利策獎的作品。時報將它刊登在2003年4月1日頭版，但有細心讀者將照片放大到一定倍率后發現是合成照片，合成的照片將英軍士兵和伊拉克平民的距離拉近，目的是為了改進構圖，增加視覺沖擊力。此事在世界新聞媒體引起震動。《洛杉磯時報》立即在其網站上刊登更正和道歉聲明，并作出了開除布賴恩.瓦爾斯基的決定。又如2004年7月14日，我國西安連續暴雨，地面嚴重積水，某報記者將拍攝到的照片用PhotoShop軟件中的“橡皮圖章”修改，結果原來沒膝深的水改成了齊腰深的水，“積水”也就變成了“洪災”。照片經美聯社采納發稿后被芬蘭讀者在報紙上發現了修改痕跡，芬蘭報紙編輯通知了美聯社，美聯社對照片仔細鑒定后確認其造假，從而將該照片刪除，同時通知用戶不要使用該照片，此事在我國新聞攝影界引起了很大反響，這說明新聞照片的真實性不容忽視，數碼相機拍攝的新聞照片中任何內容都不能被隨意修改。
利于電腦技術制作各種類型的假新聞照片，使得新聞攝影的真實性在數字時代變得十分脆弱，以往新聞照片的“眼見為實”、“以圖為證”的權威性和見證性受到了強烈沖擊。如果放任這種電腦技術的濫用，將會使新聞攝影失去存在的意義。這絕非危言聳聽。
2.如何消除和應對隱患
2.1制定相應的規章制度。可從以下兩方面對所發表的新聞照片進行規范和把關：第一，不絕對排斥對新聞照片進行電腦處理，因為數字技術在新聞攝影中的發展和應用已成必然，但運用數字技術對新聞照片作改動應制定一個底線----以不損害新聞的真實性為前提，允許作者為突出新聞主題，對照片的清晰度進行調整，對一些污點、劃痕等進行處理。第二，對那些違背了新聞真實性的照片，要加強加大懲處力度。
2.2對那些制造和假新聞照片者，要有相應的法律來進行制裁，使造假者不敢輕舉妄動。
2.3利用技術手段規范互聯網上的新聞照片。一方面可以運用類似于微軟瀏覽器中關于網站內容分級的軟件，對網上的新聞照片進行可信度分級。另一方面，還可以開發一種程序，對收到的已經過電腦處理的照片進行過濾和提示，甚至可以在一定程度上還原照片的本來面目。所謂“魔高一尺，道高一丈”。隨著技術的進步，這是應該做得到的。
3.數字時代對新聞攝影記者的新要求
過去對新聞照片的評價標準是：見報快就是好照片。數字時代，攝影技術已經不再是問題，那么對新聞攝影的新要求則體現在新聞應該在更深內容層面上拓展。要求新聞攝影記者在更高層面以新的視角把握時代脈絡，在新聞選題、價值判斷和新聞深度等問題上下功夫。數字時代，對新聞攝影記者提出了以下三方面的要求。3.1對職業道德的要求
數字技術讓作者對影像的改變更容易了，這就對新聞攝影記者的道德修養提出了更高的要求。新聞攝影記者的職責決定了他是公眾輿論的代表，他要向社會負責，要遵循新聞規律、社會公德和法律法規，用真誠客觀的態度報道新聞，如果我們的新聞攝影記者堅持了道德規范，那么新聞攝影的真實性就不會因數字攝影的產生而遭到懷疑。
3.2對獨創性和快速傳遞的要求
數字時代對新聞攝影產生的影響，將不僅僅停留在新聞照片的物理形態的改變和傳輸手段的先進。數字相機和互聯網將新聞攝影的時效推向了極致。隨著數字技術的發展，以前從事攝影之前那種較長時間的技術訓練可以在短時間內掌握，新聞攝影變得越來越強調如何獲得信息，如何在新聞現場選取獨家角度，如何迅速傳遞信息等。
3.3對數字化管理的要求
數字相機方便了攝影記者，但是比傳統底片更多的數字照片只能無序地保存在各種電子儲存盤上，沒有統一的管理標準。照片和文字信息分離，圖片雜亂保存在臨時目錄下，經常被丟失、刪除，這些缺乏管理的照片無法成為媒體可以有效利用的資源。
